Student Advisor - Bailey Stewart

Hi, I’m Bailey Stewart. I’ll be your 2016-2017 Huntington FFA Chapter Advisor. I’m one of the newest officers, along with the other Sophomore officers. Along with FFA, I play volleyball, basketball, and softball. I also am very involved in my youth group at church.

This past year in FFA, I was involved in several activities and had many firsts. Last year, at the Angelina County Fair, I showed rabbits for the first time, which was new and exciting. Another first I had was participating in the Farm Bureau day, Ag Olympics day, and Greenhand day. One “first” that I had this year, and encourage all of y’all to experience, was going to conventions. Conventions are so much fun- you learn new things and meet new people. It was so awesome for me to get to go to Nationals, because I had fun, met new people from all over, and even grew closer to some people in my own Chapter.

This next year, I plan on showing more animals than just my rabbits, to learn and experience more. With each new animal you show, it will help you in the long run with FFA projects, college, and gaining more life knowledge. My hope for our Chapter this year, is to get more people involved. There are many things to choose from, and something for everyone. I also hope, that everyone learns from our FFA, but also has a lot of fun throughout the year.
